Answers to common questions about Roamvello.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. Roamvello has no sign-up or login. Install it and start planning.

Where is my trip data stored?

On your device. Your trips, trails, voice memos, expenses and tickets are saved locally and never sent to us. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I back up my trips or move them to a new iPhone?

Use Roamvello's backup export to create a backup file, then save it anywhere you like, such as the Files app, a cloud drive or AirDrop. On the other device, install Roamvello and import that file. Because your data isn't stored on our servers, a backup file is how you keep a copy.

What happens to my data if I delete the app?

iOS deletes Roamvello's data from your device when you delete the app. Export a backup first if you want to keep your trips.

Why does Roamvello ask for my location?

To add place details when you drop a marker, and to record your route during trail recording. To keep recording while the screen is locked or you switch apps, allow location access when asked. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Roamvello.

Why does it ask for the microphone or photo library?

The microphone is used only to record voice memos. Photo library access is used only to save images you export, such as a trip picture or a park badge, to Photos.

Do maps and place details work offline?

Maps and place details come from Apple Maps and may need an internet connection. Your trips and entries are stored on your device, so you can still view and edit them offline.

How do I share a trip?

Roamvello can export your trip map, tickets, timeline and expenses together as one picture, or you can share individual views and park badges. Exports are created only when you choose to share.
